2001 Season - Final Table

Salute The New Champion

A huge congratulations to Marcus who rode his favourite mighty Oakland Raiders all the way to Papas Fritas glory, winning the 2001 BUMS NFL Fantasy League Championship by a clear 13 points from Paul Privitera. (Final Table Attached) Both Rookies Get Relegated Courtesy of Elvis Grbac overthrowing an open Shannon Sharpe in the end zone Cheryl and Dave G stay up and it is rookie Wayne who will join Phil, AP, Aaron and John in the Conference next year. With the 5th pick in the draft next year and his insider knowledge I expect Wayne to put up some big numbers next year. Indeed as his rant last week indicated he's enjoyed year 1 and believes he will be a future Champion (something I can only dream about). Ranting No Longer? Talking of rants, only one position changed as a result of the Vikings-Ravens game - Gully moved ahead of David Stamp, knocking the North French side into the lower half of the division, reversing Stampy's boasting of being a top half team for the first time since he won the trophy (something I can only dream about). Wildcard Match-Up’s Anyway Stampy gets his chance of revenge this weekend as he'll play Gully in one of the 8 BUMS Wildcard games. As is traditional best plays worst and so on. With Cheryl and Dave G sharing the same points their positions were decided by coin toss and Cheryl lost so she will play Johnny. Their 2002 draft placing will be decided on who scores the more points in the Wildcard round. Most points equals earlier pick. The BUMS games are Marcus v John, Paul v Aaron, Mark v AP, Gareth v Phil, Daz v Wayne, Johnny v Cheryl, Andy H v Dave G & Gully v David S. BUMS on Seats The NFL games are Tampa Bay @ Philadelphia (9:30pm Saturday @ BUMS HQ), NY Jets @ Oakland (1am Sunday), San Francisco @ Green Bay (5:30pm Sunday) and Baltimore @ Miami (9pm Sunday) Both games live on Sky from 6:30pm on Sunday again at BUMS HQ.
